The mustard trend – love it or hate it? Personally, I love yellow in any shape or form, and am delighted to see that it’s back in fashion, particularly for Spring 2018, worn both on and off the runway by celebrities and common folk alike. Here in London, though, it’s cold, windy and still very much winter. The daffodils are out already, though, so don’t hesitate to add some mustard to your wardrobe even though it’s still freezing. Goodness knows we need some bright mustard trousers in our lives while we deal with the grey weather.
I’d tone down this naturally warm colour with a cool grey cashmere jumper – it’s winter-appropriate and makes the colourful trousers more office-friendly too; tuck it in to highlight the lovely tie-waist of those bottoms. Adding the Summer Noon silk scarf around your neck will tie in the colour of the trousers, giving a high-end feel to the high-street look and adding colour near your face to bring the attention back up there. Wearing black or navy accessories with this outfit might seem natural, but I’d pair another extremely trendy colour with it – deep burgundy patent leather bag and low-heeled pointy-toe pumps. Minimal rose gold jewellery in the form of pearl earrings and delicate bracelet add the finishing touches.
The highlight of this outfit is the deep yellow or mustard – the reddish tones in the silk scarf (available here) tie in the burgundy shoes and bag, and the cool grey jumper takes the brightness down a notch, making it possible to wear to work. Wear your hair simply, and you’re ready to go. Don’t forget to throw on a warm coat for the journey to work, though! Stay warm until Spring actually gets here.

Wimbledon is the event of the summer for tennis aficionados. Whites are de rigeur for the players here, and it’s pretty fashion forward to wear white as an onlooker too. Here’s an outfit that keeps you looking casual and chic with a jacket just in case it rains (it is England, after all).

Wear a statement necklace with red clothes, and it can be off-putting – you could end up looking like a pillar box with baubles on, after all… when chosen carefully, a red outfit can make a real style statement, and when its fire-engine shade is accentuated with pale shades and vibrant accessories, that bright red doesn’t seem so daunting after all. Caution: this style may invite fulsome compliments.

Pink is so often given a bad rep, and it really doesn’t have to be ‘only for blondes’ or for ‘girly girls’. Wear it in your own way, and it can create a fashion statement without turning you into a cliche.
Wear pink with panache! Make it casual chic by wearing the Arati Devasher pink Birdies scarf with black… polkadot trousers, a tank top, and a chunky cuff, topped off with sleek patent Oxfords. The pink lip accents the colour and means you’re wearing it – it’s not wearing you.

Going to exhibitions and opening nights dressed to the nines is all very well, but have you ever thought that you can wear a piece of art just as easily as picking something to hang on a wall? A hand painted silk scarf is a painting, each scarf carefully designed and made as a one-of-a-kind piece impossible to duplicate. That one scarf can be worn in a myriad number of ways, making each outfit as unique as you are yourself.
